OnVirt uses the ZFS filesystem for their host nodes in order to optimize performance and to add tolerance in the case of hardware failure. Host nodes have either an Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 or Intel Xeon E5-1620v2 CPU. Hard drives are set up in RAID 10. Other than that, they’re using SuperMicro Rackservers with hot-swap bays, ECC RAM, and enterprise-level SSDs.
